Önce iki yıllık bir program A two-year programme first

Gaziantep İslam Bilim ve Teknoloji Üniversitesi'nde bilgisayar programcılığı okudum. Orayı hem bölüm hem yüksekokul birincisi olarak, 3,65 ortalamayla bitirdim.

Sonra dikey geçiş sınavına girdim; sayısalda Türkiye 546. oldum. Şu anda Fırat Üniversitesi Bilgisayar Mühendisliği'nde ikinci sınıftayım.

Daha öncesinde küçük işletmelere web sitesi yapıp satıyordum. Teknik olarak basit işlerdi ama bana hâlâ taşıdığım bir alışkanlık kazandırdılar: birinin parasını aldıysan işin gerçekten bitmiş olması gerekir.

I did a computer programming diploma at Gaziantep Islam Science and Technology University and came out of it top of my department and top of the school, with a 3.65 GPA.

Then I sat the national vertical transfer exam and placed 546th in Türkiye on the quantitative track. I'm now in my second year of computer engineering at Fırat University.

Before all that I was building and selling websites for small businesses. Simple work, technically — but it left me with a habit I still keep: once someone has paid you, the job has to be genuinely finished.

Bugün akademik yayın kaynaklarından veri toplayan scraper'lar yazıyorum. İşin özü şu: bir insanın saatlerce tekrarladığı bir işi bir kere doğru kurmak, sonra bir daha hiç düşünmemek.

Bitirme projemizde aynı fikri fiziksel dünyaya taşıdık. Gecemiz gündüzümüze karıştı; enerji hesabına ve ortak toprak hattına yeterince dikkat etmediğimiz için birkaç kart yaktık — ama sonunda çalıştı.

These days I write scrapers that gather data from academic publishing sources. The heart of it is this: set up a job someone would otherwise repeat for hours, get it right once, and then never think about it again.

For our capstone we pushed the same idea into the physical world. Days and nights blurred together; we burned through a few boards because we hadn't thought carefully enough about power budgeting and a shared ground — but in the end it ran.
